✨ How to Stay Inspired in Our Day-to-Day ✨
Jun 05, 2025
Let’s be honest—feeling inspired every day sounds amazing… in theory. But in real life? Inspiration can feel elusive. We’re busy, we’re tired, and the magic moments don’t always show up when we want them to.
Still, inspiration isn’t just for artists, entrepreneurs, or people with a Pinterest-perfect morning routine. It’s for everyone. It’s how we connect with meaning. It’s how we stay hopeful. It’s how we find beauty and joy in the middle of everyday chaos.
Whether you’re a designer, a teacher, a parent, a dreamer (or all of the above), here are a few ways I’ve learned to find daily inspiration—plus how my Inspiration Affirmations book and card deck can help you do the same.
🌱 Inspiration is not a feeling—it’s a practice.
We often wait for inspiration to strike. But what if it’s not something you catch, but something you create?
Inspiration is a way of paying attention. It’s noticing when your child does something unexpectedly wise. It’s admiring how the morning light filters in through the windows. It’s realizing that even your to-do list tells a story about what matters to you.
Try this:
➡️ Pick one ordinary thing in your environment right now. Can you see it differently? Appreciate it more? What might it teach you about your life today?
This is what design thinking is, too—it’s finding new meaning in the familiar. And it starts with a shift in perception.
🧠 Give your creativity something to play with.
We all have creative energy, but it needs attention, direction, and room to experiment without pressure. You can write a note to someone you love. Rearrange your space. Cook something new. Ask a better question. Creativity isn’t about the outcome—it’s about the intention.
That’s why I made Inspiration Affirmations. I needed a way to make creative reflection feel doable, beautiful, and even a little bit fun. Each card includes a powerful phrase and three journaling prompts—just enough to shift your mindset and spark something new.
🃏 Sample Card:
Word: Creativity
Message: “Turn the practical into poetry.”
Prompt: What’s something ordinary I often overlook that might hold unexpected inspiration?
Try pulling a card in the morning and journaling with your tea or coffee—or pulling one at night to reflect and reset.
💛 Inspiration is personal—but it doesn’t have to be solitary.
Some of our best ideas come in conversation, connection, and community. If you’re feeling uninspired, ask a friend what they’ve been thinking about. Share a page of your journal. Take a walk with someone who makes you laugh.
Or talk to me.
