"Ashley and I met when I was training to be a fitness instructor and personal trainer at UCLA. She was an integral part of my training and, sharing in our passion for health, wellness, and general enjoyment of life, we quickly became good friends. Ashley supported me in developing my skills as an instructor, graciously sharing her class time and giving me helpful feedback and encouragement along the way. Her support and friendship deepened my experience of becoming and being a fitness instructor and trainer. Ashley is fiercely intelligent, genuinely compassionate, and authentically interested in your health and well-being. Ashley puts soul into her life and work and can help you do the same. I hope you have the privilege of working with her!"

"I remember a time when I felt completely healthy during my Freshman Year at UCLA taking Ashley Karr’s Total Body Kickboxing class at the John Wooden Center. With my first year of college drawing closer to the end and school/social events weighing me down, I needed something to boost me through that final Spring quarter.'
"While I worked out a fair amount before Ashley’s class, the college parties, heavy studying, and dorm food stirred me away from a healthy lifestyle. Before college, organized sports helped shape my regimen. Ashley's class gave me this hidden energy to not only work hard in her class but also run around the beautiful campus, hit the weight room with more force, and feed my body the proper diet'.
"One thing I do remember about Ashley’s class-to this day - 11 years later - is the warm-down, breathing, and stretching emphasis. After beating up my body for 45-minutes or so, that last 10-15 minutes of mental sobriety and ease magically made me feel subliminal. The lasting effect made me feel as if I could take on my school work or my personal relationships with more confidence and care. Rather than slacking off and going on cruise control for my final quarter of school, I had a relentless energy to maximize my efforts and treat others around me better. The silence and meditation at the end of her workouts also made me feel closer to God. My mind was so clear and I seemed as worry-free as ever."

Mark Sawyer - UCLA Professor
"I first met Ashley when she was a trainer at UCLA. She was amazing to work with. She pushed me and I was in the best shape I'd been in awhile. (I was a former athlete). Little did I know that with severe arthritis, I could no longer train the way I used to. Ashley prepped me for hip surgery with a careful regiment. I credit my quick recovery from my hip replacement to Ashley's careful and patient work with me.'
"She is a joy to work with and I was sad when she left UCLA. Don't hesitate to work with her. Even then I felt like she worked with the total person. Going from thinking of myself as elite athlete to have a hip replacement was a real mental blow and Ashley recognized that in amazing ways!"

"I love teaching, but my job can be stressful, and I don't have much spare time. Ashley's program, Stress Management Daily, is exactly what I was looking for to help me incorporate relaxation techniques and stress management skills into my day. I listen to her lectures on my iPod while I walk my dog and use her techniques as mini-breaks at work. Ashley is also very helpful and friendly and responded quickly to my questions. I highly recommend Ashley's products and services!"
